This post is just to clarify that this is where the humans will start, and from then on move to which of the other three biomes you please!
Remember that no one should be alone, and leaders should be labeled! Anyone who is good with medicine, fast on their feet, etc. "Doctors" and "scouts" will always be appreciated, seeing as we must all work together and treat each other equally to survive!
It will start out at 11am, clear sky and a gentle breeze. It's early August, so Fall is on it's way! Be realistic! It should slowly be becoming more cold and less vegetation. Hard for hiding!
You must realize cars still work, as does technology, but with no one working power plants it's quite hard to find some that work! Search for generators and working cars, as you go around and collect gas from other nonworking cars/stations!
HOWEVER! Electricity draws the Aliens. It is your main goal to stay hidden unless stated otherwise. This entire RP is based around the idea that the Human race has to completely rebuild what they had before. REMEMBER THIS!
It has been 3 months since the Meteor crashed, 3 months since all of man kind got cut into less than half of the world's population. Those who are alive now are immune to the poisonous gases the Sarien species leaked onto the surface of Earth, and have watched others wither and die due to the fever of the illness.
KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR STAFF TO POST EVERY 2 PAGES A SMALL SUMMARY OF WHAT HAS HAPPENED THE LAST TWO PAGES, JUST TO KEEP EVERYONE UPDATED!
ALSO KEEP IN MIND ALIENS ARE ONLY ALLOWED ONE POST A DAY, AS THERE WILL ONLY BE 10 OF THEM ALLOWED. PLEASE RESPECT OUR RULES AND ENJOY YOUR TIME IN THE NEW GENERATION!
DO NOT START UNTIL STAFF HAS SENT OUT A MASS PM EXPLAINING YOU TO DO SO!
If you are a misdirected Sarien, your start will be at the Meteor Base in The Forest!

A gentle breeze rustled the overgrown weeds that boarded the cracked concrete. The scene looked nearly peaceful, if Blair wasn't busy trying to not get detected from some crazy animal while looking for food. It'd been two days since she'd come up from underground. While hidden she'd listened to every possible radio station speaking of the subject of the meteor that hit Earth. Animals. Animals were going crazy, she heard. For now she would be wary, searching only for canned foods.
The abandoned city was large and full of supermarkets and all kinds of stores, the young woman was positive there was food somewhere. Tightening her ivory fingers around the base of the metal bat she held, she moved forward, sliding against the brick wall carefully. "Damn it." Blair cursed under her breath, spotting movement beyond stalled cars across the street in front of her. Wolves. Again. Wolves she was familiar with. Her old team had been brutally murdered by a pack. The cold metal of the pistol against her leg suddenly caught her attention. She was fully capable of killing them, but to waste such precious ammo on animals that were possibly not corrupted? She could not chance it.
Breathing in and out slowly, the black-haired girl steadied herself as she made a dive for the open glass door of a two-story convenience-food store. The bell above the door sounded loudly and echoed off the empty streets. "Fuck!" Barks of surprise and growls of the hunt sounded not too far from her. Blair thought fast; pushing over a untouched bookshelf to block the glass door as she hopped her way over the counter top, fitting herself into a small space bellow the cash register.
This was great! What the hell was she supposed to do? Her motorcycle was a mile from this place, there would be no quick escape. What were the chances of others being around her..?

The loud, chiming sound of a store-bell going off made Valentine jump up from his hiding spot. What the hell was going on? The man gripped the crowbar tightly in his hands, crouching as he shuffled forward to peer over the side of the building he'd been hiding in the last few days, just now surfacing. Were there other people? He assumed so, it would have been rather ignorant to think he was the last.. But where were they? Who were they?
"It's probably some damn animal knocking shit over." Val hissed between his teeth. However, his curiosity got the best of him as he made his away down the rusted latter to the left of the front of the building. Instantly he heard the sound of paws on the road's hard surface, along with communicating whimpering and barks. The man groaned, running his broad hand through his dark-blue shaggy hair. Of course. He knew they were right behind him, he'd bounced right down from his hiding spot only to fall at the paws of some hungry overgrown chihuahuas.
Valentine sprinted forward, catching a glimpse of a black-haired girl diving into a grocery store. She must of been the one to ring the bell, did she know about these damn wolves? Shaking his head, Valentine hurled himself onto the roof of a parked car, among the river of cars that covered the majority of the road, crowbar in hand. The wolves would follow him, he knew. And although he'd beaten the shit out of cars and doors to break into in the past, he'd never harmed a living thing directly. What would he do?

Aldwyn or Wyn for short moved along the top of a building he had been staying in a building that had stairs that led to the roof. He dropped down in a crouch like stance when he heard noise and his eyes darted around his heart racing. He slowly reached for an arrow and notched it into his bow before moving slowly to the edge of the building. Of course he made sure not to stray close enough to the edge that he fell off, after all he wasn't stupid. Looking around he saw movement out of the corned of his eye and swung his head around to the side to see a girl disappear into a store than his eyes landed on the wolves and his eyes narrowed. He considered going after the girl to see if she was okay but before he could do anything he saw more movement out of the corner of his eye.
Again he swung his head towards the direction he had seen the movement and watched as an older male jumped onto the roof of a parked car. The boy shook his head a few strands of his white hair falling into his strange reddish gold eyes. With a sigh he shook his head to get his hair out of his face and he moved closer to the edge of the roof his eyes landing on a pile of trash. He knew he would be better off just taking the stairs back down to the bottom of the building but he had done crazier things in the past. 'Let's do this he thought letting himself dangle over the roof before letting himself drop down into the pile of trash. As he landed he rolled to take some of the harshness out of his landing and came back up onto his knee one leg propped out. He was glad that he had rolled because that had helped him to avoid injury. He was sure that if he hadn't that he would have probably sprained his ankle or something.
After making sure that he was really okay he got to his feet moving silently down the alley way that he had landed in. He could see that the boy was hopping cars trying to lead the dogs away he looked towards the store the girl had gone in looking for another way in still wanting to make sure that she was okay. Even though he had white hair that was kind of hard to hide he still moved like a shadow as he moved around the store finding himself in another alley. He silently went down the alley hoping to find the back of the store. It was possible that the store had to exits and that she had used the other exit and was now on the run again. He kept his bow loaded in case something tried to come at him which he hoped didn't happen but there was no telling with how the world had been lately. He silently moved down the alley until he had reached the end and looked around spotting what must have been the back of the store the girl had gone in and moved towards it seeing if there was a door.

Dakota strolled down a quiet street and gazed at the empty houses. Who knew what treasures could be scavenged from them? Probably loads of food and ammo. Right now, he didn't really feel like looking for supplies, as he did not own a weapon that required ammo, and he was not hungry. Lost in his own thoughts, he continued on his merry way with not a care in the world. He could take care of himself, and honestly who cared if the entire human race was wiped out? They deserved to die anyway. The lying, killing bastards did not deserve a happy future. Suddenly a shop bell startled him out of his thoughts, and he glimpsed a girl diving inside a shop. Nearby was a boy who dropped down from a roof, and a man clutching a bent crowbar, unsure of what to do. Then he noticed the pack of angry wolves. Of course, he had to be stupid enough and walk right through the middle of the road, were the wolves had spotted him. He couldn't outdistance the things, so the only thing left was to attack them. "OH for the love of it all!" groaned the trapped man, and poised himself for battle. Dakota raised his scimitar as the first wolf approached, and brought it down with a loud yell, slaying the wolf instantly. Unfortunately, the canine right behind the leader saw an advantage of the momentary distraction and took a chunk out of his right shoulder. Yelling, the dark-haired man swung he sword around and slit the wolf's throat. Soon he would be overpowered by sheer numbers, so he was forced to yell for help. Shouting and fending off another wolf at the same time, he realized that the rest of the pack was catching up and he wouldn't be fighting one wolf at a time anymore. "Bastard, get over here!!" he yelled to the man with the crowbar.

Dane's eyes were obviously already open as he calmly analyzed the situation and the area that surrounded him. He was seated comfortable inside a once grocery store, on the second floor. He had heard the bell chime and the girl dive inside, but he had yet to move to greet her. After all, she probably would try to murder him if he came too close with all that adrenaline pumping through her right then. The wolves were vicious and definitely would kill him if he went out there due to his weak state and thin frame, therefore he remained in the building. Besides, he wasn't going to waste his precious knives on people that he didn't know unless he was sure it would save them. Not because he cared about them, but because he would want them to owe him a favour.
Dane finally decided it was time to check on the person that had entered downstairs. It was a bit odd that she'd jumped in here, but Dane assumed that she had needed somewhere to hide, and when the bell had chimed the wolves had heard and she had to push over a case or something to block the doorway, hence the big crash he heard. Just in case the person was hostile, he fingered one of his knives and pulled it out of a gun holster, which is how he held the things. He spotted a strand of hair sticking out from under the cash register due to the position he was in, and he remained on the stairs, not coming further down in case the wolves found their way in.
"Hello," he finally said, to the girl(Blair). He despised people typically and did not care for teaming up, but when the world is ending you don't have much of a choice. Also, the young adult was definitely still curious about the extraterrestrials that had landed on earth, and he would take any opportunity possible to come across one. A team might help him see some more, after all, and he couldn't complain about that at all. However, if this girl was hostile and owned a gun, he was probably dead anyways unless he could throw his knife fast enough. He didn't doubt his ability to aim quickly and efficiently, but moving quickly wasn't his strong point. Anyways, most of the time the humans that he had come across didn't attempt to kill him due to simple lack of interest in teaming up with him. They'd just tell him to scram, and he would. Partly. Obviously he'd still watch from the tops of buildings and observe their behaviours and try to explain to himself why they thought they were superior to him.

Blair let out a yelp, her hand smacking to cover her mouth at her involuntary scream of surprise. The greeting from above was the last thing she was expecting; as she had been focusing on the sound of the ruckus outside the store. Slowly, the dark-haired girl leaned to the side to peer up and around the cash register to the stairs in the far corner.
Relief sagged her body as she jolted up, causing her to have to use the counter as a support beam. "Uh, hey." Why was she so surprised at seeing another human? She knew she wasn't alone, however she was not expecting to meet someone so soon.
Shouts from outside along with the rising growls of wolves caught Blair's attention once more. "Should we go help them?" she questioned aloud, rising the hem of her skirt ever-so-slightly to reveal the handle of the pistol strapped to her upper thigh. She had a bat, but sheer bludgeoning them to death wouldn't work quite as efficiently.

Valentine's groan matched the other man's (Dakota) as he leaped from the roof of the car he'd been atop, hopping cars quickly to get closer to the man with the most wolves. "This is a problem, don't you think?" he shouted, half-joking as he put all his weight into one swing as a wolf leaped up at the two men. The curved part of the crowbar smacked the animal across the muzzle, causing it to land on it's side and writhe a moment in pained yelps before darting into the nearest alley.
About 7 more wolves continued to dance around their car, occasionally leaping up and nipping at their feet as if to heard them. Well, it was working. "We need to get somewhere up!" Valentine spoke getting closer to the man a moment before pulling away. He was thinking the building the girl had gone into.
It was two-stories, with a rather large metal latter leading up the back side of the store to the very tip-top. Not only would that place offer protection, there would be food. He could rest there, if the people around him weren't hostile considering the whole wolf-attack.
"Come on!" Val shouted one last time before hopping onto the car in front of them, sliding onto the asphalt and speeding away in the direction of the building's latter. He swung back without looking, feeling his crowbar smack into the side of the face of a wolf. Forcing down a smile of triumph he took a leap with his arms extended to grasp at the latter.
Thankfully, he landed a few notches up and was able to begin climbing rapidly before any wolves could get their teeth into his ankles.
OOC: Try to get everyone to get into the convenience store Blair and Dane are in for now, until others post in of which we'll move out.

Wyn reached the back of the store and saw that there was a door since the girl hadn't escaped through the back door he figured that she was already out that. First he made sure that is wasn't a fire exit door and when he was sure that it was just a regular exit door he pulled it open. He held his breath waiting for some kind of alarm to go off but when nothing happened he slipped inside. He let the door close behind him and move through the darkness into he reached so stairs. He supposed the door had led to the storage room where they stored all the extra stuff that they didn't have on display. 'I hope the girl is okay,' he thought starting up the stairs moving silently. He wasn't sure yet if this play was safe so he moved quietly not wanting anyone or anything to hear him until he knew that it was safe.
He finally got out of the storage room that was apart of the store and he looked around ducking behind a crate filled with stuff when he heard voices. 'I have nothing to be scared of, and maybe these people are ones that I can trust,' he thought putting his arrow back with the others and strapped his bow over his back. Then he came out from behind the crate filled with stuff and headed towards the voices that he had heard upon exiting the storage room. He noticed that it was two people that were talking one was a girl that he had seen just a few minutes before and the other was a guy that he did not know. He stuffed his hands in his jeans pockets looking even older then he was. He was 15 but because of how tall he was and how solemn he always looked many thought he was 18 and were always surprised when he told them that he was 15.
He shook a few strands of his hair out of his face and approached the two people hunching his shoulders not really sure what to say to them. He never really knew what to say to anything it was probably because he had a hard time trusting anyone. Though he didn't want to just stand here and appear rude so he thought of something he could say. "Hey, I saw what happened you okay?" he asked the girl his voice coming out a bit raspy from not having used his voice awhile. Then he turned his head towards the guy not wanting to make it seem he was leaving him out. "I came in through the back way, I didn't want the wolves to notice me," he said clearing his throat trying to get rid of the rasp in his voice. He thought of introducing himself to these two but he usually didn't introduce himself until he knew that he could trust the people that he was talking to.
Maxine or Max for short had been hiding in a pile of trash trying to judge her next move when she was nearly crushed by someone jumping off a roof. Muttering a curse under her breath she came out of the trash to see a boy with white hair running off, of course she didn't seem to notice anything else but the boy. She shook so trash off her and headed after the boy stopping when she saw the wolves. Not wanting to be detected by the wolves she ran using the shadows to her advantage and saw a metal latter attached to a building and ran towards it noticed the wolves were around a near by building possible having been distracted by something. With a shake of her head she began to climb the ladder almost slipping twice before reaching the top of the building.
Once she had reached the edge of the top of the building she pulled herself over the top of the building and stopped for a minute to catch her breath. Looking around she noticed two guy over at the next building and frowned wondering how she would be able to get over there. She wanted to wait for her brother but she supposed that until she found her brother she could team up with a few other humans. 'Okay the buildings don't look to far apart from each other so maybe I can just jump across,' she thought backing up her eyes fixed on the roof of the other building. 'If I don't make it I'll probably break some bones,' she thought but shrugged the thought of not wanting to miss the roof of the next building because of fear of falling. Taking a deep breath she moved back a little further and took a running jump towards the next building and managed to make it onto the roof of the next building stumbling slightly at the impact of the jump.
Max glanced up at the two guys knowing that she probably appeared as a young boy to these two guys that had probably got onto the roof to escape the wolves. She appeared as a young boy to most people because her small size made her look like she was more of a ll or 12 year old then a 19 year old. As for the looking like a boy part it was because she had jacket black hair and had bandages wrapped around her body under her shirt to hide that she was a girl. She was also wearing some of her brothers old clothes. It was kind of sad that her brother was a year younger than her but she was so much more shorter then him. Usually when people saw her and her brother together they thought that he was the oldest of the two and of course because of the way she looked most thought they were brothers and didn't even know most of the time that she was a girl.

Dane hesitated as he spotted her pistol, but quickly shoved it out of his head. She wasn't being hostile; she in fact had just squealed a little in surprise at seeing him. When she asked him whether or not they should go help, he bit his lip and glanced out the door. The probability of them surviving if they stood further away from the rest of them and just attacked from afar was significantly better than if the wolves killed all of those outside then came inside. At least out there they stood a chance with the others. After thinking it over a little, Dane nodded quickly, and headed down the stairs before pulling one of his knives out of it's sheathe.
"I'd say so. Don't die," he said, no smile accompanying his words. He didn't want the one person he knew with a pistol to just die on him, unless he could steal the pistol off of her if she died. However, he'd have to learn how to shoot a gun and she probably didn't have enough ammo on her to suit those practice purposes. Using most of his strength, he shoved aside the shelf that was blocking the door, and found himself panting a little. He was not designed to do heavy work. "You could've considered this situation before knocking the thing over," he pointed out, before straightening up and blinking through the light-headedness he was experiencing. Being underweight may not have been a problem before the meteor struck, but now it caused many difficulties for the young adult.

Dakota glanced at the store also, as the other man (Valentine) hopped from car to street and sped up a ladder relatively near himself. Beating the handle of his scimitar into a wolves face, he kicked another one out of the way, barely missing a deadly bite, and ran to where the other man had shimmied up. Grasping the wrung with his hands, he kicked another wolf right behind him in the face and climbed as fast as his cumbersome sword and injured shoulder would allow. He reached the top with a gasp, but he was still alert for potential threat. Grasping the sword, he pressed it against the other man's throat and asked, "Who the hell are you?!" With everything going on, he wasn't going to risk assuming that fellow humans were friends. No, humans were too unpredictable for that.

A block away from the others, Hope hummed to himself, looting through abandoned cars for whatever he could find. This was a common practice for him, though he usually didn't get much- some bags of chips here and there, a pack of gum on the dashboard, or, in exceptionally rare cases, maybe even a weapon hidden in the glove compartment. Though he was growing bored of the daily routine, he found small ways to entertain himself that made it bearable. Besides, he'd rather get by on what food he could find than needlessly kill a corrupted animal. His attention shifted to the wooden bat he held in his hand, still stained red with dried blood from the animals he'd been forced to kill in the past to stay alive. He turned it in his hands with a pained sigh. A bell chime north of him snapped him out of his thoughts. Remembering things like that does no good, he told himself. Focus.
The truck in front of him was a rusty old Chevy, the last one on the street he was scavenging along. Hope peered through the window, trying to see whether or not the vehicle was locked. Through the grimey glass, he could just barely make out that it was, and he groaned internally. Breaking the glass was a sure way to attract looters and animals, but he hadn't gotten anything else today and needed to eat something. He took a quick glance around the street, then raised the bat and slammed it against the window, shattering the glass. Working quickly, he unlocked the door and hopped into the truck, instantly finding a backpack full of school supplies on the floorboard. He grimaced, not wanting to think about whatever fate the owner had met. He unzipped the bag, dumped out the supplies, and popped open the glove compartment. After a minute of rummaging through it, he found only a bag of chips and a single candy. He pushed it shut, surprised nothing had come to attack him yet. The thought crossed him that there must be something holding the city-dwelling animals at attention, but he quickly pushed it out of his mind. Probably better not to jinx it, he thought, not wanting to imagine any other survivors in danger. Maybe I should check it out anyway... He decided, Just in case. Stuffing the chips and candy into the backpack, he shouldered it and headed north towards the sound.

Trevor's eyes snapped open as soon as he heard the glass at the front of the car yield to the baseball bat assaulting it. He remained still however, maintaining stealth as he hid under the blanket in the floor board of the backseat. His hands were always on his weapons, even when he slept. He still had on most of his equipment and his uniform. The camouflaged uniform obviously wouldn't protect him from protection here, but thankfully whoever was searching through the vehicle restricted their search at the front. That was fine with him, he put all the crap in here at the front for this very situation. Unfortunately, that also involved that bag of chips and piece of candy one of his subordinates had snuck onto the battlefield.
When he heard whoever this was leave the vehicle, Trevor threw off the blanket and sat up, checking that his M9 pistol was ready for action. He looked out the back window to size up his competition. Just one? Good. The Marine Officer calmly exited the vehicle, keeping his firearm trained at the person who had his chips at all times. "Halt." He commanded with a stern voice. "You have a nine millimeter firearm aimed at your head. You have some of my supplies in your possession. Hand them over and we can both walk away from this."

Hope paused, hearing movement from the truck behind him. Before he could so much as turn his head, a strong voice informed him that a gun was aimed at his head, sending chills down his spine. "W-What the hell..?" He stammered under his breath. He could've sworn he was the only one on this street. Cautiously, he turned to face whoever had him compromised, lowering the backpack from his shoulder as he did. He found himself staring up at a stern-faced, uniformed man who towered over him. The man held a gun aimed at Hope's head, as he had stated earlier, and he stared straight down the barrel.
"Uh..." His voice came out shaky, so he coughed to clear his throat. He wasn't sure what to do in this situation. Obviously, he hadn't meant to steal the man's supplies, but he couldn't just give them back. After all, he hadn't eaten the last few days, and there was no telling when he'd find more food. His stomach growled audibly at the thought, and his eyes darted from the man's gun to his face. "S-Sorry, uh, I didn't mean to..." He raised his hand slowly and took the backpack off of his shoulder to hold it out in front of him. For a moment, he had actually considered attempting to run off with it, but the odds of him dying in that attempt were strong. It's his stuff, he decided. You'll find more if you need to. Though he didn't appreciate being bullied out of some measly chips and a piece of candy, he could see why the other guy wouldn't appreciate having his supplies stolen. Now he just had to hope that the man wouldn't shoot him.

Trevor stepped forward and swiftly snatched the bag out of his victim's hand, stepping back immediately after to avoid getting jumped. He put the bag against his body with the elbow of his gun arm, using his free hand to unzip it. It sure as Hell looked and felt awkward, but it still only took a half second to pull that trigger. The Marine looked into the bag and noted that everything was still there and hadn't magically appeared in this kid's stomach. He looked back up and stared Hope dead in the eye with a neutral expression... Before reaching into the backpack and tossing the candy at him. "Catch." He nabbed the bag of chips and dropped the backpack, not needing it due to having something better. "I'm still under an oath to the people of America, that's the least I can do."

Jai was with the group, yearning to listen and figure out what in the world were the people talking about, but pretty much not understanding anything. Now, all that mattered to Jai was some civilization, a life, and keeping that life going. The boy- er, man looked around for anything interesting, a dagger in his hand in case the interesting thing he came upon happened to be more of, well, nothing much, just some scary alien that might try to end humanity. Nothing big or dangerous. Jai looked around for his sister, who happened to be nowhere in general, so he settled with looking at the sky as if something would fall out of it.
Crystal was lost, and totally terified. She was actually a good short distance away from the others, and with bad eyesight, Crystal thought the clump of people were a clump of signs (she was within their view, though) in which Crystal thought was a bit weird. Crystal looked at her boomerang and threw it, scared to see on of the signs moving. IT'S ALIVE!!!! she thought. Well, the bommerang missed but should've caught the thing's (Dane's) attention. Crystal flinched and watched her boomerang fall 5 inches away from her. Crystal ran to pick it up.

As the sun climbed to the middle of the sky, eager to see what the world below was doing to get by in this unnatural struggle, the remains of human civilization had found the many trials of the day head-on with varying success. One such member of the human race was Private Daniel Norris, a rifleman for the United States Marine Corps. By some miracle he'd survived fighting the aliens for what little time was necessary before the order came to go to a particular city and try to establish a safe zone. However, the mission had gone foul and the Marine found himself the soul survivor, walking into the city on foot with his full pack of gear and a fully loaded SCAR-H.
Like Daniel thought, the husk of a city had tried its best to fool him with the tall sky scrapping buildings and lost street signs, but his sense of direction was quickly established again as speech broke the eerie silence that Daniel was walking through. Eagerness soon turned to a sinking feeling of disappointment as the barking of wolves filled his eardrums more so than the echoing speech did. Could not one thing go right today?
As Daniel ran to the barking of the wolves to investigate, he caught the glimpse of two people, one in uniform, out of his peripheral vision. Thinking little of the scene he'd only caught a glimpse of, the determined marine continued until he found himself on the left-hand side of the parking lot in front of some kind of two-story convenience store. The wolves themselves were crowded around a ladder that went up the back end of the store, so Daniel looked up briefly to see two people on the roof. However, the issue that needed more immediate attention was the wolves. Daniel sighed as he flipped his rifle off of safety to fully automatic and rested his right index finger over the trigger. Taking in a breath and closing his left eye so that his right was focused down the holographic sight for better precision, Daniel let his breath out slowly as he sent a burst of 7.62's into the mass of wolves at the base of the ladder. Quickly, several wolves fell with various wounds along their bodies and the rest who weren't incapacitated ran from the automatic gunfire. Smart enough for dogs... Daniel thought to himself as he looked up to the people on the ladder, assuming they'd still be there. "Yo..! You guys okay?" He asked in a loud shout, loud enough that anything with a brain that could stimulate curiosity could hear from several blocks away.
