Character Name:
Riley Grace Yael
Character Age:
20
Character Gender:
Trans Female
Character Sexuality:
Aromantic Gynesexual
Character Description:
Riley is around 5'9 in height and has a tendency to tiptoe, making her appear even taller. She has short, copper hair styled almost like a bob. She's used to having 'ginger' jokes jabbed at her due to her fair skin, red hair, green eyes, and freckles- much to her annoyance. Her outfit is a simple hoodie and a pair of gray jeans with black sneakers, and though you can't really tell just from looking at her, she wears contacts. Without them she can barely see, so she's forced to carry around dorky, thick-rimmed glasses that she hates just in case. Under her hoodie she wears a gray tank-top with a built-in bra containing padding that makes it look like she has breasts.

Character Personality:
Riley is a very guarded girl, always putting up walls to keep others out. She's been that way for the vast majority of her life and doesn't plan on changing any time soon, especially not in the midst of an alien invasion. She comes across as sarcastic and mean most of the time, but really she loves being around people she likes. However, from years of being discriminated against, she's scared of accidentally befriending someone bigoted and judgmental. If someone were to take the time to really get to know her, they'd see that she's actually very nice and even flirtatious, but she's too scared of getting involved with the wrong types of people to show her true self, having gone through that countless times before.

Character History:
Riley never felt like a boy, not even when her parents told her that's what she was. She grew her hair out all the time instead of keeping it short like the other boys did, she felt more comfortable in skirts and other clothing typically marketed towards girls, and she started to realize she didn't like being around boys all that much. At first, she thought she was just a boy who liked feminine things, but then she realized she just couldn't call herself a boy. It felt like a lie to her.
When she told her parents, they just laughed it off as if she was kidding, but as she continued to insist that she wasn't male, they became disgusted. She was then forced to attend a private church school, where the nuns made her wear the male uniform instead of the female one and pray every night for forgiveness. At first, she began to hate herself, but then she found the strength to accept herself for who she was and raised enough money to run away without looking back. To make sure nobody would recognize her, she bought contacts and cut and dyed her hair. She hitch-hiked to a different city and attended a public school there, and after she graduated she worked as a cashier to afford her apartment. Rumors spread about her due to the fact that she almost never left her apartment, but she did her best to ignore it. When the meteor entered Earth's atmosphere, she was ready and prepared to die. What she didn't expect was that she would survive.
