Character Description:
Hope is biracial, being half Japanese and half white, and has messy silver hair, blue eyes, and fair skin. He's 5'8 and wears a striped black-and-red hoodie with fluffy, white fur on the hood, gray pants, and black and white converse shoes that come up above his ankles. He has a fairly slim build and isn't particularly muscular, but he can hold his own in a fight and can run surprisingly fast. He doesn't carry a messanger bag like the one pictured above.

Character Personality:
Hope, being a kind person with his head in the clouds, often comes across as dreamy and naive. He's someone you can count on to always have your back, and he's willing to help even complete stangers. He won't stand for injustice and is always the first to jump in and aid the weak, which usually lands him in trouble. However, he's not easily deterred, and would never back down from a fight against someone he perceives as evil. Though he is easily tricked into misjudging character, he won't be manipulated into doing anything he thinks is wrong, so he isn't exactly naive- just overly trusting. Overall, he just wants to be remembered for doing good things. He wants to make some sort of difference in the world for the better and help change the lives of those around him. It may sound silly or impossible to others, but he believes each person is full of endless, untapped potential. In his eyes, the human race is still full of hope.
People he likes: Nice people, anyone who bothers to listen to him ramble, just about everybody really
People he dislikes: Mean people who refuse to change, anyone who picks on the weak or is violent without reason to be

Character History:
Hope's father was Japanese and his mother was white. He spent most of his childhood growing up in Japan, but when his mother divorced his father due to his incessant drinking, he had to move to America with his mother. He didn't miss his dad that much since he'd never really been around anyway, but he did miss his old friends and had a hard time making new ones. He ended up talking to people online instead, so he wasn't really alone, and he didn't let it get to him too much that he didn't fit.
Throughout all of his school life, Hope would constantly get into fights with bullies and rude kids due to his justice complex. He was frequently made fun of for this and told he watches too many superhero movies. In high school, he decided to sign up for the baseball team despite never having played before. At first, he was snickered at and made fun of, but he ended up being the best player on the team out of sheer luck. He was popular after that until junior year, but then his team became uncomfortable around him after finding out he was trans and gay. His teammates started purposefully pitching towards him instead of his bat, so he often came home with black eyes and bruises. Although he did lose his mother to the illness caused by the purple gas, he's oddly grateful for the end of the world. After all, the bullying might have gotten worse if the meteor didn't strike first.
